What we store
Picly stores account details for hosts and the photos, videos, names, and optional messages submitted to their events. Guests may optionally verify a phone number to join an event conversation; uploading does not require this.
Optional phone verification
Verified phone numbers are encrypted, never displayed to hosts or guests, and used only for event identity and notifications a participant separately agrees to receive. The identity is scoped to that event and can be deleted by the participant.
How media is used
Event media is used only to provide the collection, gallery, moderation, community, and export service. Picly does not sell media, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Who can see it
Visibility is controlled by the event host. Private events may require a PIN, and moderated media and comments stay private until approved.
Retention and deletion
Each event displays its retention date. Hosts can export or delete an event. Participants can delete their event identity and associated community contributions.
